Our mission
Helping communities understand, prepare and act

Mission statement
Our Mission
Ardara Cardiac First Responders aims to promote cardiac emergency awareness, encourage preparedness, and support the development of informed and resilient communities.
Our mission is centered on helping people understand the importance of recognizing possible cardiac emergencies, seeking professional emergency assistance promptly, and learning appropriate first-aid and resuscitation skills through qualified training opportunities.
We recognize that community safety is strengthened when people have access to reliable information and understand the importance of preparation. By promoting awareness and encouraging constructive participation, we seek to contribute to a community culture in which cardiac safety is understood as a shared responsibility.
Our approach emphasizes compassion, responsibility, public awareness, and cooperation with relevant community and healthcare stakeholders.

What our mission means in practice
Why cardiac awareness matters
A cardiac emergency can happen without warning, at home, at work or in a public place. The people nearby are often the first who can help, which is why awareness across the whole community matters.
Early recognition and prompt help
Recognizing that something may be seriously wrong, and calling 112 or 999 straight away, are among the most important steps anyone can take. Hesitation costs time.
The value of suitable first-aid education
Practical skills such as CPR and using an AED are best learned hands-on from qualified instructors or recognized training providers, following current guidelines.
Community preparedness
Preparedness is strengthened when clubs, workplaces, families and groups think ahead about what they would do, and where help and equipment can be found.
Responsible communication
We aim to share information that is accurate and consistent with recognized guidance, and to be clear that this website is not a source of medical advice.
Our intended contribution
We hope to contribute to community wellbeing by encouraging awareness, signposting reliable learning opportunities and welcoming people who want to be involved.
If someone may be experiencing a cardiac emergency, call 112 or 999 in Ireland immediately and follow the emergency dispatcher's instructions. Do not delay emergency assistance while browsing this website.
Our mission provides a guiding framework for how we communicate our purpose and explore opportunities to contribute to cardiac awareness and community preparedness. Our actual programs and services should always reflect our confirmed activities and available resources.
