Safeguarding and Responsible Conduct

1. Why responsible conduct matters

Community work depends on trust. Everyone who takes part in our activities, whether as a volunteer, participant or partner, should feel safe and respected.

2. Respectful conduct

We expect courtesy, respect and dignity in every interaction, and no tolerance for harassment, discrimination or abuse.

3. Appropriate boundaries

Volunteers and representatives should act within their agreed role, and within the limits of their training.

4. Confidentiality

Personal information shared with us, including in the course of community activities, is treated confidentially and handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

5. Safe participation

Practical activities should be planned with participants' safety in mind and, where hands-on skills are involved, led by suitably qualified instructors.

6. Raising a concern

If you have a concern about the conduct of anyone connected with the organization, please contact us at contact@selijavides.org or +353 91 766 777. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 or 999.

Details of any formal safeguarding policy and named contact will be published here once adopted by the organization.
